Sugar Maple in Honor of Susan D. Wright

The Class of 1988 donates this tree in honor of our Class Dean and dear friend Susan Wright. Dean Wright’s kind words and gentle hand guided many of us on our journeys to adulthood. She steadied us when we faltered and asked us hard questions that challenged us to be the best we could be. Her office was a place we often entered with trepidation but left felling validated. The sugar maple represents her sweetness, no matter the situation.
There is no one in the world like Susan DeBevoise Wright: generous with words of wisdom, kind, and forever a supporter of the Class of 1988, who lives in our hearts wherever we roam.
